Paromita Dhar graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney in 2007 and has a Masters Diploma in Film from Sydney Film School. She is the cinematographer of the Award winning documentary Distance – Behind the Tin Sheets. She currently lives in India. 

My obsession? The blurring between fiction and reality. The simple thrill of finding fantastical possibilities from the most innocuous of places.  My camera and I, we’ve existed diversely – commercial, corporate, documentary and advertising. Seriocomic, fantastical, truthful, instructive, anthropological and in between. 

Currently writing my own fiction script “Last time on Earth” selected in NFDC Screen Writers Lab 2019 and winner of HBF Hubert Bals Script & Project Development Fund: Bright Future Selection 2019
